1) A picture, just because. Why have the toys be in the basket when I can be in there & be much cuter?!
2) We made about $140 from our yard sale! We sold a lot of toys, our coffee table, our kitchen table & chairs (not gone yet), and an exercise machine. The only thing I will do differently next time is have my boy be somewhere else completely, so he doesn't figure out that we're selling some of his toys (that he hasn't touched in a year).
3) Friday marked our 5th wedding anniversary, which went much better than our 4th (Hubs hit a van with his truck last year). My mom came up Saturday and we went down to Smithfield, which is about 40 minutes away on I-95. Found a super-yummy Mexican restaurant and another place that has the world's best cheesecake. Mmmmmmm.
4) The sermon at church last night was based on the verse that is in our byline. Man, it kicked my butt. Especially the "hate what is evil" part. We as Christians, in the name of being "tolerant" or "don't want to offend anybody", have come to tolerate evil in our society, in our schools, in our homes, on our TVs, everywhere. It is really sad that most of the time it's difficult to tell Christians from anyone else, and is that what Jesus commanded? I am working out what that means for my own life, and for one, it is that I won't buy People magazine as I have every week for about 2 years now. I'm sure that's not the only application, but it is for sure the first that came to mind.
5) Sorry to see UNC go home, as my uncle & I both had them in the championship game. I'm pinning all my hopes for a championship team on the Cubbies. (98 years & counting....)
