Books I have read in the last year about war:
Flags of Our Fathers
Ghost Soldiers
The Greatest Generation
The Greatest Generation Speaks
Letters from the Greatest Generation
Warriors
Battlefield Chaplains
With the Old Breed
Secret Commandos
All of them are great, but if I had to pick the best, I'd pick Flags of Our Fathers, Battlefield Chaplains, and Ghost Soldiers. Military stuff fascinates me and at the same time (see previous post) the war stories I read make me more and more disgusted with war in general.

I can't read stuff like that... too close to home. Maybe after we get out someday.
This is BethAnn's Mom --
I can confirm Beth has personally held a profound respect for Those Who Served since she was grammer school-age. She has always asked, "What was it like?" "How did YOU feel?" and
"What should we do now?"
I pray, Dear God, that John comes home to tell more "stories" after the fashion of his Grandfather (God grant Eternal Rest to his soul) and him for whom John is named.
