Colors

Conversation about colors:

Us: What color is Mama?
Wee One: Red.
Us: What color is Papa?
Him: Black. (ok, close enough.)
Us: What color is D?
Him: Orange.

Mix red with black, yeah maybe you do get orange. He, however, was referring to the orange stripe on his jacket. Orange happens to be his favorite color.

(Clarification: we AREN'T teaching our kid not to notice skin color; we ARE teaching him not to judge it. I think it's ok to notice skin color. God made us with our particular color on purpose. We just want him to appreciate that there are different color people everywhere and God loves them all.)
